This combo industrial strength RS232 to RS-485 / RS422 converter is a port-powered simple and reliable solution for most standard commercial and industrial communications needs. It converts RS232 signals to half-duplex RS-485 balanced differential and RS-422 full duplex signals.
This particular RS232 to RS-485 / RS-422 converter uses an internal amplifier to gain power from the RS232 signals (RTS, DTR, TXD) without initializing the RS232 interface. In case the RS232 port is incapable of supplying sufficient power an external power supply can easily be connected to the converters terminal header.
Automatic Send Data Control is enabled which means no software drivers are needed. Zero-delay transfer and advanced I/O control automatically controls data flow directions without any hand-shake signals needed.
Built-in auto-sense automatically selects RS-485 or RS-422 mode depending on the connected signal, no jumpers are needed, simply connect the wires to the terminals you need.
