This mini USB to RS485 Converter is an entry-grade communication interface designed to connect USB hosts to RS485 serial networks reliably and safely. It converts USB signals to RS485, offering robust electrical protection and broad compatibility without the need for external power supplies.
After installing the drivers this converter supports plug-and-play operation, automatic transmit/receive control, and multi-node communication, making it ideal for general use and industrial automation, data acquisition, and network expansion projects.
This converter has an AUX terminal (VCC and GND) which can be used for powering a low-voltage (5V) device. The amperage depends which type of USB the converter is connected to (USB 2.0 or 3.0).
