Description

Notice: this part has been discontinued please use one of our other serial to Ethernet converters

This Serial to Ethernet converter is similar to our DS1100, the main difference is that this converter has a combined RS232, RS485 and RS422 interface whereas the DS1100 only has a RS232 interface.
One other main difference is that this converter also has more add-on options such as OLED display or Wi-Fi interface.

Another great feature of this serial Ethernet converter is that in RS232 mode it offers three RS232 channels. Devices supporting this feature have a single RS232 port connector (DB9M) and are priced as single-port products, yet pack four independent serial channels. Have no use for those DSR and DTR lines? Turn them into RX and TX of an additional serial channel. Don't want CTS and RTS either? That's one more channel!

As the DS1100 the DS1102 is also a BASIC-like programmable single port serial to Ethernet converter from Tibbo. It is an advanced high quality converter which is suitable for most applications and environments.

Since this serial to Ethernet converter is programmable by using an easy to learn BASIC-like programming language it is ideal if you want to be able to define and configure advanced parameters of the converter such as configuring I/O parameters, accessing memory, Ethernet/socket control and much more.
Please refer to Supported Objects for the full list of platform objects. Included is also a varity of free Libaries.

The BASIC-like programming language is referred to as Tibbo-BASIC which is a new and improved incarnation of standard BASIC. A free progamming environment called Tibbo IDE 3 is included with this converter.

Included is not only a free ready to use Virtual COM port software which will let you connect your serial device to your computer over Ethernet without any major programming required, but freely available is also a serial over IP application with source code which will allow you to actually modify it to suit your needs.
Besides the serial over IP application available is also a large selection of fully finctional programming examples.

This converter can be mounted on a standard DIN rail or by using included wall pounting plate.

As you can imagine, this serial to Ethernet converter offers a huge amount of features and programable possibilities, however in a package which is easy to learn and understand.
