i bought my first no name serial adapter off ebay and it turned out to be a big junk hassle on my windows 7 and i couldn't get it to work for the life of me....but this serial adapter i must say is by far the best worked right out of the box on my windows 7 x64 laptop i plugged it in and windows found both drivers automatically installed them and i was up and running my BC296D and BC996T radio scanners in less then 5 minutes with no troubles at all this serial adapter has made me a happy scanner owner once again feels excellent to have PC control and programming back i am Extreamly pleased with the quality of this adapter
