The US485MiO USB to RS485 Mini converter is a port powered small and convenient converter with no need for external power supply. It has a surge and static protection of up to 600W.
This USB to RS485 converter is suitable for most applications, including industrial, commercial and any general office computer device. It is a bi-directional, (meaning it communicates in both directions), reliable and cost-effective converter that easily lets you connect any RS485 device directly to your computer's USB port, efficiently converting USB signals to half-duplex RS485 and vice versa.
This USB to RS485 converter is powered from the USB port so no external power supply is needed. The RS485 end is a standard 4-terminal screw header for easy connection of single wires.
Automatic send data control is enabled by default so no external flow or handshake control is needed.
It can be used in point to point or point to multipoint networks with up to 32 nodes. The communication distance is up to 9800 FT (3km) at 4800bps, 6500 FT (2km) at 9600bps or 3200 FT (1km) at 115.2Kbps. It support with Windows, Linux and Mac.
This unit i n build around the high performance and very reliable CP2102 chip from Silicon Labs, and is optimized and fully compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac.
