This cable lets you connect a standard DC power supply with an output jack size 5.5 x 2.1 x 11.5mm to a USB cable.

The cable is mostly used with devices which are powered by a USB port. In case the USB port cannot provide enough power, or you simply wish to use an external power supply instead of a USB port, you can use this cable in conjunction with a 5VDC power adapter such as this, (standard USB ports usually provides between 4.75 V and 5.25 VDC).
