With this Ethernet to Serial Converter you can easily connect one or two RS232, RS485 or RS422 serial devices to your computer over any LAN or Internet connection.

Two versions of Virtual COM software can be used with this unit: the free and Open Source Com0Com software or a pay-version from FabulaTech.

Using a dual port Ethernet to Serial converter is just as easy as using a single port Ethernet to Serial converter, the only difference is that on a dual port Ethernet to Serial converter you obviously have two virtual COM ports available. After installing the virtual COM port software which is included with the Ethernet to Serial converter, these two virtual COM ports show up in your computers Device Manager as if it were two built-in COM ports. The COM ports are managed by the software wihich is included with the Ethernet to Serial converter. Notice that not all manufacturers Ethernet to Serial converter units included virtual COM port software.
