This bi-directional combined RS-232 to RS-485 / RS-422 converter is a solid commercial and industrial grade converter. It converts RS-232 signals to half-duplex RS-485 balanced differential signals or RS-422 full-duplex.

This converter offers multiple interfaces. The RS-232 interface is a standard DB9 female connector and the RS-485 / RS-422 side offers three different interfaces to chose from: RJ45, DB9 male or screw terminals, all interfaces are included with each unit.

Automatic Send Data Control is enabled which means no software drivers are needed. Easy to incorporate with any Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks.

With its surge protected interfaces to protect your equipment, data and the converter itself against high voltage surges, this converter is suitable for most industrial, commercial, office, lab and network applications, even i tough enviornments. It uses an external 9VDC power supply which is included.

Can be mounted on a standard DIN rail with these DIN rail mounting clips.
