Optical isolated RS232 to RS485 / RS422 converter. Great for general use where static electricity and surge protection is an issue. Protects effectively against spikes, over voltages and ground loops with up to 3500V isolation. This converter has a female DB9 connector at the RS232 side and screw terminal header at the RS485 / RS422 side for easy connection of wires. It needs a 9VDC external power supply for the RS485 / RS422 side and works with no data delay and Automatic Send Data Control so no external software or drivers are needed. The RS232 side is powered from the TX, RX and DTR signals. Convenient indication lights for power, send and receive status makes troubleshooting easy. 9VDC power supply is included.
