This is a RS232 to RS485 isolated and port-powered converter. An internal amplifier circuit supplies power from the RS232 port without initializing the RS232 interface. Two optocouplers (Toshiba TLP521) efficiently provides 2.5KV optical isolation on the TX and RX lines. This isolated RS232 to RS485 converter supports 2-wire RS485 and, which allows two peer participants or one master and multiple slaves to operate in a network configuration. The transmission rate of 300 - 115200bps can be applied to point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks. A simple and reliable solution for most commercial and industrial communication needs. Detachable header terminal board is included with each unit.
